Bag limits
Daily limit is 6 ducks total. Within those, no more than:
Light geese: 20 daily.
Light goose (snow, blue, Ross’s)
Light geese: No daily limit daily.
Light goose conservation order
Mergansers: 5 daily, 15 in possession.
Scaup: 1, then 2 daily, 6 in possession.
What you need to hunt ducks in Mississippi
Base hunting license — Sportsman, All Game, or Small Game Hunting license.
Mississippi Electronic State Waterfowl Stamp — Required for persons 16 and older when hunting waterfowl.

Harvest Information Program (HIP) certification
Nontoxic shot — Lead shot is prohibited for waterfowl nationwide.
- Hunters under age 16 are exempt from the hunting license and state waterfowl stamp requirements.
- All persons born on or after January 1, 1972 must complete a hunter education course before a Mississippi hunting license can be purchased.
