Bag limits
Daily limit is 7 ducks total. Within those, no more than:
Light geese: 6 daily, 18 in possession.
What you need to hunt ducks in Alaska
Alaska State Duck Stamp — Required for fall waterfowl hunting and qualifying spring/summer subsistence hunts; must be signed in ink and carried while hunting.
Federal Duck Stamp
Nontoxic shot — Lead shot is prohibited for waterfowl nationwide.
- Residents under 18, residents 60 or older, disabled veterans eligible for a free license, and holders of a low-income license are exempt from the State Duck Stamp (and from HIP enrollment, since HIP is tied to stamp purchase).
- Hunters pursuing only cranes and snipe are exempt from the State Duck Stamp.
- Qualified permanent rural Alaska residents (or eligible persons in included areas) may hunt certain seasons without a Federal Duck Stamp.
